Nice wiki on TI’s BoosterPack for Launchpad

Not everyone can afford an arduino…so the next best thing is TI’s Launchpad ($5).  But there are not many “shields” out there for it.  However you can build your own as detailed on the wiki below. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/BYOB

Energia, Arduino’s IDE for TI

Someone is very creative and ported Arduino’s IDE to TI’s MSP systems.  If this keeps moving forward, TI could give Arduino a run for its money (MSP board with chip is around $5). https://github.com/energia/Energia/wiki/Getting-Started

TI robot walker

Simple robot walker with TI’s MSP 430.  I brought this up since the TI board is $5 and there is not much out there yet for this system.  But with Arduino’s rounding $30….this is a much cheaper solution. http://blog.vinu.co.in/2012/06/two-servo-walking-robot-using-ti.html

A little robot for TI’s MSP 430 processor

A small tank robot platform for the MSP430 developer board.  Its a nice cheap ($5 for the board and cpu) controller.  I may have to look at this again in the future. http://longhornengineer.com/robotics/msprobot/
