Modify a Harbor Freight Digital Calipers for remote data feed
The project uses an ESP32 to get the data off the serial port of a cheap pair of digital calipers, and send them to whatever needs it. Interesting build. I wonder if the last pin on the caliper is power? … Continue reading

Another interesting CNC from PVC pipe
The author builds some interesting CNC’s from PVC pipe, This one the table “spins” for the X why the Y and Z are normal back and forth. You would think the build would be cheap, but he is using decent … Continue reading

CNC a nice looking Captain America Shield
The author first glued up the boards, and then used a CNC to shape the shield. https://www.instructables.com/Captain-America-Shield-From-Wood-With-a-CNC-Machin/

Making pumpkin boxes
The “face” is CNC’ed out and uses standard templates you can find on the web. The sides are just all the sides of a box cut up (so you make a square box). Pretty simple build. https://www.instructables.com/Box-Jack-O-Lanterns/

Cool robot build
Uses an arduino to control the servo’s for the arms. All parts are cut from plex board. https://www.instructables.com/Bidex-Robot-Dual-Arm/

PVC made CNC
Its a plotter/laser engraver build. Overall pretty clever build. Reminds me of the little CNC’s made 10 years ago with iron pipe. https://www.instructables.com/P-CNC-Laser-Engraver-and-Pen-Plotter/

Nice build for a fancy air blower
The author went thru alot of personal study to get a decent blower to start up a grill. This was the authors second version FYI. Me, I can see making version 1, no so sure v2. https://www.instructables.com/The-Engineering-Complexity-of-a-Simple-3D-Printed-/

Make your own Grabber
Or claw extension. The author posed up the CNC/plans for this, so in theory you could take the design and make a custom length grabber. https://www.instructables.com/Laser-cut-Extension-Claw-Recreating-My-Favorite-To/

Another cool sand plotter
I can’t remember if I mentioned this one before. But still a cool build. He used the remains of a 3D printer he had to build it.

Another interesting Drawbot
This one does not use gravity, its an interesting build with most of the parts are 3D printed out. Not so sure if I would put this one on the list (take too long to print everything out). I do … Continue reading
