I never saw this one coming 6 years ago when I first took a look at VM tech.  Now back I go into the fray in my spare time. http://techcrunch.com/2012/11/27/amazon-web-services-expected-to-hit-1-5-billion-in-revenues-for-2012/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Techcrunch+%28TechCrunch%29

USB 1.1 for MSP

Looks like someone built a USB stack for the MSP430 chip (really nice and cheap microcontroller from TI). http://hackaday.com/2012/12/03/msp430-bit-banged-usb-1-1/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29 http://mecrisp.sourceforge.net/

Amazno EC2 now has Windows 2012

Amazon now allows you to rent Windows 2012.  But the article notes that unless you pay more (which you will already pay more to run Windows over Linux) the memory allocated for the server will barely be enough. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/11/21/amazon_does_windows_server_2012_on_ec2/
