Xerox received 1,168 U.S. patents in 2013
Thats alot of patents. And a good warchest to have, but…my experience is it takes 4-5 years for a company to get something together to get it into an official patent. So I wonder how many IP’s Xerox will have … Continue reading

Linux battery life increaser
I have noticed that Linux does seem to drain my battery faster than Windows did, so this is an interesting Kernel Module (Called TLP) that I will be installing tonight to try it out. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/easily-increase-battery-life-tlp-linux/

Another flaw with IP cameras
The issues with Foscam’s IP cameras reminds me of Windows 95 in its day. http://krebsonsecurity.com/2014/01/bug-exposes-ip-cameras-baby-monitors/

Occidentalis, Raspberry Pi OS for Electronics
A RPi distro from Adafruit that has a bunch of stuff for controlling motors and other circuits. It looks interesting but….I wonder how long the support for it will be. http://lifehacker.com/occidentalis-tweaks-the-raspberry-pi-os-for-electronics-1508321478?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+lifehacker%2Ffull+%28Lifehacker%29

This has to be one of the simplest Hydroponics builds
Take a bucket, a pump, hose and some drills and ba-bam, hydroponics setup. Seems like the bucket could be knocked down to a 1 gallon to save water/space. But this is a cheap build to do. http://www.instructables.com/id/5-Gallon-Bucket-Hydroponics/
Build a Beer Caddy
This looks like a nice build but…the directions start off really good, but its missing the middle (more details needed). Most folks could figure it out. This could be a good idea for a guy gift. http://www.instructables.com/id/The-6-Pack-Caddy/
Not a rosy picture for Xerox
This stock analyst doesn’t paint a rosy picture for Xerox. It kindof hints that services will only bring a shortterm gain if I read it correctly. ttp://www.thestreet.com/story/12254448/1/xerox-cant-copy-its-past.html

A Crayon Lathe
When I first stumbled on this, I thought it was a joke. But no its a real build and it can be used to help teach kids not only about building tools. But how to use a lathe (safely). http://www.instructables.com/id/Crayon-Lathe-LittleBits/ … Continue reading
