Xerox vs HP for investment

Interesting article that compares investing in Xerox vs HP.  I agree with the author that I think HP is the better beat.  Of course I would invest in neither overall… http://www.benzinga.com/markets/14/03/4369760/xerox-vs-hewlett-packard-which-would-you-rather-invest-in

Nevada still beating on Xerox

It seems the state is on a roll with slamming Xerox in the press.  I can’t imagine this ending well. http://www.8newsnow.com/story/24909464/xerox-on-hot-seat-for-issues-with-state-health-insurance-exchange

Too funny, see kids react to a rotary phone

I like how the author asks the kids how to text with it.  Well worth watching. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2014/03/video-of-kids-reacting-to-a-rotary-phone-might-make-you-feel-old/

Xerox needs more people in the Sticks

Xerox is looking to hire more call center folks in Kentucky.  Another 90 over the 40 they just hired.  And they are branching out to the rural parts of Kentucky too. http://www.wkyt.com/wymt/home/headlines/Xerox-hiring-90-people-in-Knox-County-248629591.html

Nevada still upset with Xerox, can’t get rid of them

State of Nevada is still very upset with the quality of service from Xerox over managing its health insurance exchange.  However it shoulds like they can’t get rid of Xerox, but can cut its pay. http://www.rgj.com/article/20140305/NEWS/303050037/Nevada-health-insurance-exchange-State-puts-pressure-on-Xerox-to-deliver?nclick_check=1

Using a drill battery to power a RPi

Nice idea, basically the author took a voltage step down circuit and put it with a drill battery to get the 5 volts needed for the Raspberry Pi and uses that to power it.  If you don’t count the cost … Continue reading

Build your own chainsaw mill

Nice idea, cheaper and easier to handle build than using a bandsaw but…chainsaws would mostly do a good rough cut and would waste some wood.  Also you need a beefy chainsaw to cut some big boards.  My 2 cents, its … Continue reading
