According to Garnett, Ursula Burns has dropped from 13th to 17th in ranking. Not exactly sure why. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/money/business/2014/09/18/xerox-gannett-ceos-list-powerful-businesswomen/15829465/

Xerox software helps with Parking in LA
Interesting article, especially the bit about how the “rates” could adjust based on availability…sounds like a good moneymaker to me. http://www.parking-net.com/parking-news/xerox-parking/find-parking-spot-expresspark

Interesting article that has alot of good points from Xerox
Well from Xerox’s previous CEO, Anne Mulcahy. The article goes on points from her that Radio Shack could use to turn things around. All of them basically sum up to “work with your employees and people” and boost moral. Unfortunately if … Continue reading

Using a Kindle Fire (tablet) for an RPi Display
I like this idea, if you have the parts around, why not use them. I was thinking this could be usefully for a more “headless” CNC system. How is it done? Basically you are using the Tablet for a Remote … Continue reading

A servo motor and stepper controller with a $10 FPGA
Interesting project where the author made a stepper and servo motor controller with Verlog and got it running on a $10 FPGA board. Me…I’ll stick with using cheap arduinos. Plus side is I think you can fit more on the … Continue reading

Attackers finally start to look at SNMP
Attackers are starting to set sight on SNMP. Finally…I did a thesis project about this way back in the early 2000s, and was so surpised back then no-one was looking at SNMP. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/09/16/attackers_tapping_on_snmp_door_to_see_if_its_open/

Nice simple peristaltic pump you can print out
Nice simple pump. A cheaper solution can be found at harbor frieght, for garden hoses and a drill thought, and not really food safe as this one. http://tim.cexx.org/?p=1282 http://hackaday.com/2014/09/16/a-3d-printed-peristaltic-pump/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29
Make a portable Tachometer with an ardiuno
Nice build, worth doing if you are playing with motors and need to figure out how fast they are spinning. http://www.instructables.com/id/Measure-RPM-DIY-Portable-Digital-Tachometer/
Xerox moving training center from Virginia to Webster NY
Xerox Technology (print/copy end) is moving its training center for high end printing from Virginia to Webster NY. Which is much closer to where the systems are built. So consolidating this makes sense. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/money/business/2014/09/17/xerox-moving-training-center-webster/15787641/
