Interesting article, it highlights several companies, including Xerox, where the exec’s got big bonuses only cause they had power to trigger a buyback of stock, and just enough so it brought things up so they got there bonuses. What is … Continue reading

Add Spritz encryption to your Arduino
I have heard of the encryption method before. Don’t know much else beyond that. It sounds promising but I wonder how much space it takes up on the arduino. And how fast it is. http://hackaday.com/2015/12/12/encryption-for-arduino-with-spritz/
Use Diskpart in Windows 10 to clean USB drives
And all sorts of other flash based systems. As you may know, flash can die off and leave parts of a partition dead. Apparently Windows now has a built in tool to help clean them up. http://www.howtogeek.com/235824/how-to-clean-a-flash-drive-sd-card-or-internal-drive-to-fix-partition-and-capacity-problems/

Build a cheap gaming system with an old server
I have done something like this in the past (not for gaming, for software development). The author basically bought an older server based system, and Intel CPU’s, and build a rough gaming box that preforms pretty well for a system … Continue reading

Nice tutorial on different motors and how to use them

Another nice CD-ROM based laser engraver
These seem to be growing in popularity to build lately. Here is another write up to build on with an arduino to control it. I like the box the author built for this too. I like the safety measures the … Continue reading

Icahn buys more Xerox stock
Looks like Icahn is taking advantage of Xerox stock being below $10 again and buying up more controlling interest in the company. I wonder what changes he will be pushing soon… http://seekingalpha.com/news/2983016-icahn-bumps-xerox-stake-up-to-8_13-percent

OK I am now on the look-out for old snowshovel handles
I love the newer eronomic shovels, but…they are so expensive. Even on the discount rack at the end of the year the are still crazy price. So this is a nice hack to convert a shovel. http://www.instructables.com/id/Transform-Your-Old-Snow-Pusher-or-Snow-Shovel-In-A/
