Converting a snowblower into a trailer dolly
Interesting build, basically ditching the blower part and just using the motor and drive to move a large trailer around. Two things that I thought maybe worth doing. One, add a third caster wheel to help with stability. Two, I … Continue reading
3D printed filer
OK the author build a tool to file away at something. Hum…I wonder if a belt sander would have been a better build here. Still nice build. The author seems to build alot of 3D printed tools. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/3d-printed-die-filer-87342?homelistings#post188785

Using a fingerprint sensor and arduino for a BIO authentication
Basically you authenticate your stored fingerprint to the arduino, that then issues the unlock (password in this case as an HID interface) to the computer. Interesting build, would be easy to hack. https://www.instructables.com/PC-Fingerprint-Login-Works-on-Any-Computer-xiao-Ar/
Build a high speed card shooter
This reminds me of a printer I worked on that moved paper so fast it could cut your arm off. The author here makes a card shooter that shoots a playing card about 120 MPH. https://gizmodo.com/man-who-probably-hates-having-fingers-builds-a-gun-that-1841764319
A simple security cam robot
OK so using an ESP-32, the author can remotely control the robot (well has to be on its wifi) to roam around and see whats going on.
Making your own square corner clamps
Another nice build. A simple LARGE corner clamp blocks for squaring up a corner. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/accurate-square-corner-clamp-88378?homelistings#post192643
3D print a 3D scanner
OK this is a clever build, using an old android phone, arduino, and a motor, the author make a 3D scanner. I would simplify this a bit more by not 3D printing the holder for the phone, and just use … Continue reading

Wheelbarrow rebuild with wooden bucket
The author used an old frame of a wheelbarrel, and basically make a wooden bucket for it with pallet wood. I have seen several frames tossed out over the years due to the plastic buckets breaking, this maybe a good … Continue reading

Nice video on Component Testers
I actually don’t have one myself. But its on the list. Most of the time I am either looking up the part number, or finding my resistor chart. But for $10, this is nice. All based on an arduino too.
Programming a message on a Microbit with a joystick
Reminds me of doing this on TV remotes, the author basically uses the joystick to go thru the alphabet and click the letter to select, then click end and the word gets “scrolled” by. https://www.instructables.com/BBC-MicroBit-Joystick-Keyboard/
