US Patent law changes soon, what it means?

In less than a month the patent law changes from first to invent to first to file.  With a twist.  Now you could “publish” your idea and as long as you file within a year of the publish bit, you can get the patent in the US.  however elsewhere you may not get it since its now open domain.  This should keep patent lawyers very busy for some time, and it would be interesting to see how this plays out with companies (will they start publishing more before filing so they can get the claim?).
