Programming an arduino via Ubuntu

Write-up on how to use the arduino from Linux (basically).  Its pretty simple now.  My 2 cents, I am trying to convert over to eclipse which offers much more power for programming.  But its not going so well.  The author uses the standard Arduino IDE.
