Study suggests outsourcing used to depress wages in US

Gee I could have told you this one.  Its still a good article to read.  Basically the authors point out that if there was such a demand for STEM based folks in the USA, why are kids graduating in these programs going into other fields (money and job security tops that one).  And why is the existing workforce not getting wage increases and having recruiters after them if there is such a demand.

I agree with the article, for the past 7 years myself and folks in the profession have seen little to no wage increases.  In fact its more decreases than anything when you take benefit cuts and cost of living increases into account.  If you compare today to the 1990’s during the dot com bubble, you have to wonder where the “demand” is.
