Sidecar folks get hit with stings in NYC

Who says the government isn’t too much involved?  Some folks using sidecar, a service where if you are going somewhere already, you can pickup a passenger (for a donation) and bring them along, ie ridesharing, got busted in sting operations for running a taxi service.  Really?  With all the other things to get people on, this is what the cops go after.  I wonder if the Taxi services had anything to do with this?
