$1,500 in parts = Metal 3D printer

 For apparently a $1500 in parts, some kids at Un. of Michigan built a 3D metal printer.  Its in the “prototype” stage right now, and I question the $1500 cost (its student money, which translated, could be 2x the cost).   But its worth keeping an eye on for now.
