I love this build, its functional and cheap. Most of the parts came from scrapes, but if you don’t count the motors, the arduino controller setup aroucn $30, PVC parts, another $25 max, threaded rod and parts, say $10. So say $75 total you can have a functional CNC, oh…don’t forget the drill too ($20 at harbor frieght). The author hasn’t put on a Z axis yet. And the directions are …well mostly you guess at it.
