Xerox: Your mission, should you choose to accept it…

Xerox apparently invented a chip, that when a command is given, will self destruct in 10 seconds.  I wonder if its in firmware and how you get the command into the chip (or is it hardcoded).  I see good and bad with this tech.  Bad being someone whom writes a program that triggers all these chips to go off.
