The tech shortage is a lie

Good article from a startup founder about the “alleged” tech shortage, and how false it is.  Thought I think he missed one point.  The re-training of older engineers.  The overall point he makes is companies are unwilling to foster and grow people into the areas they need.  They have a “want it now” attitude, and if they looked outside the box they could grow folks into the spots.  Also points out untapped areas in minorities and women.  But The one area he misses is retraining of existing folks.  Many engineers and developers are “stuck” in a roll, and companies rarely look these days in re-purposing loyal and intelligent staff into new roles.
