I got a kick out of this, basically the author just took a treadmill motor and blades from a fan and made simple wind power device.

Nice build, the author has 2 issues, 1 it takes a long time to engrave, 2 once done you need to close off the lense so you don’t keep burning. Since lasers are some of the most expensive bit for an engraver, it does make sense to do this. What would have really topped this off is if the entire thing ran on solar.

The write up is for dovetails, but the author goes on how you can customize it. Nice build since if you bought this is would run you easily over 100$.

So instead of trying to find an RPi, setting that up with a camera, etc etc. You can retask an old android phone (side loaded) to run Octaprint on it and use its built in camera to monitor the printer. Doesn’t seem too terrible to setup too.

I got a kick out of this, and I can see how this works but…my 2 cents, I would just buy a used scroll saw.

Well the author made the dress too. The dress has LED lights in it and the author added a wand that can scan a color and change the dress lights to that color

The author uses a DC motor and drill battery to make the sander portable. To the the torque behind this build the author uses a series of gear/pulley combinations. This build also works with a DC plug too.

Nice build, the author uses a CNC to make the seal part to put on a wooden handle.

Nice wooden vise build with a quick release using a harbor freight clamp.
Another take on using Harbor Freight cheap clamps to make a corner clamp that can quickly release and clamp. Cool build overall
