Some power saving projects
A couple times of the year I look at power projects to generate my own electricity. Hasn’t happened yet, I do like this one with arduino to control charge and windpower ( https://www.hackster.io/news/the-best-diy-renewable-energy-projects-on-hackster-e70d36bc05af

A python compiler
This looks interesting, it’s a native compiler for python. I do like writing code in python, but its slow to run compared to C/C++. Not sure how good this is yet thought. https://github.com/Omyyyy/pycom

Add a kill count to a flyswatter
I got a kick out of this one, the author added a kill count to a electric fly swatter to get a count of how many bugs he got. This project uses an arduino under the hood. https://www.instructables.com/Ultimate-Mosquito-Swatter-Mod-for-Gamer-Add-Kill-C/ https://youtu.be/_ZuR5MYr-M4

Interesting app for physics lessons
Its called phyhox, seems like a neat app that uses the sensors on the phone for experiments.

Wheelbarrow rebuild with wooden bucket
The author used an old frame of a wheelbarrel, and basically make a wooden bucket for it with pallet wood. I have seen several frames tossed out over the years due to the plastic buckets breaking, this maybe a good … Continue reading

3D printed adapter to roll toilet paper
They say its getting hard to find again. Anyways this build the author takes one of the giant rolls of toilet paper and rolls it onto another roll that will fit a standard house toilet. https://mrebenezer.blogspot.com/2020/04/toilet-roll-roller.html

Making a pocket hole workstation
I have actually thought about this myself. I got the same Kreg Jig when they went on discount a bit back, and its nice, but it really needs wings on the sides for larger pieces. This table build is perfect … Continue reading

Cool school robot project for dis-infecting rooms
The author make a robot that goes around with UV light and can be turned on/off remotely to dis-infect a room. Nice build with mostly standard parts. It uses 2 Micro:bits (one for the robot, one for the remote) to … Continue reading

Spooky eyes with a Micro:bit
Micro:bits are nice little controllers for teaching with kids. The author basically use them to make glowing “blinking” eyes. I like the use of hot glue to diffuse the light. https://www.instructables.com/Microbit-Glowing-Halloween-Eyes/
