RPi’s used to hack ATMs
Not much details on how it was done. Or the Raspberry Pi build. My 2 cents, it most likely was a RPi with a battery, and it was used to access a debug or service port on the ATM. And … Continue reading

Use a RPi Pico to interface a JTAG connection
Well beats buying a custom cable for the job. This allows the RPi Pico to basically convert to/from JTAG to USB. Nice idea. https://www.adiuvoengineering.com/post/microzed-chronicles-jtag-using-a-raspberry-pi-pico

Nice RPi Sky Camera
Nice build for a RPi time lapse camera build. Not sure I would go all out like the author, but still a nice build. https://spectrum.ieee.org/all-sky-camera

Adding an External Antenna to an RPi Zero 2
Nice idea, but I don’t have the patience for this build. It would have been nice if some pads or something else was available on the RPI to do this. https://shop.sb-components.co.uk/blogs/posts/adding-an-additional-antenna-with-a-u-fl-rf-connection-to-a-raspberry-pi-zero-2-w

How to boot an RPi from SSD
OK so one of the more annoying aspects of RPi’s is no EMMC. And SDcards are…well not the best for reliability. So this write-up covers how to take the newer RPi’s and have them boot from an SSD drive. https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-boot-raspberry-pi-ssd-permanent-storage/

Installing Nextcloud on RPi
If you can find a RPi to do this with that is. I use OpenMediaVault myself, but tempting to switch over to this. https://www.makeuseof.com/raspberry-pi-nextcloud/

Turning an RPi into a crypto miner
OK I am not sure if this would be worth it besides the learning part, as how underpowered a RPi is, still a nice writeup and if you have a RPi that can run on its own generated power, maybe … Continue reading

TinyPilot, an RPi remove KVM
For under $100, the author build a remote KVM that was pretty responsive with a Raspberry Pi. Pretty nice set of directions and cheaper than going with a commercial route https://tinypilotkvm.com/blog/build-a-kvm-over-ip-under-100

Convert a RPi zero to a RPi
Basically its a daughter card for the RPi zero that can convert it so it has the full footprint of a RPi. Board runs around $15, so 15 + 10 for the zero (if you can find one) is a … Continue reading
