Webster rejects Xerox’s request to lower assessments
Good for the Town of Webster. It was a bit crazy to ask for a 75% reduction in value when Rochester home values have not deflated much over the years, and Xerox has not taken down any of its current … Continue reading

Xerox getting another State to manage its Healthcare
Xerox is going to get 68Mill for managing Florida’s health plans. This is just another state that is now going thru Xerox, I think the states that are not are very few and far between now. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/xerox-to-build-health-insurance-marketplace-for-florida-health-choices-2012-06-26 and http://www.hartfordbusiness.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120626/NEWS01/120629866 … Continue reading

CD Polisher
After paying $5 per disc to have some of my son’s games cleaned up, I stumbled across this and for the cost, this maybe one of my next build projects with him. http://www.instructables.com/id/CD-Polisher/

Ursula Burns profile article
I had a tough time reading this article. I don’t think the author did his/her homework (since there are many items that look like cut-paste bits) and mis-quotes. The other part is Ursula Burns name being miss-spelt on the first … Continue reading

DIY Liquid Nitrogen
Bit of an old posting, but the author goes on about how to build your own system to get liquid nitrogen. I have had the opportunity to play with the stuff in the past, but I usually get it from … Continue reading

Xerox gets deal with San Diego
Xerox makes another service (call center/data processing and IT support) deal with San Diego. It seems Xerox is going to give IBM a run for its money in “services” for government work in general. http://ranchobernardo.patch.com/articles/city-reaches-tentative-66m-deal-with-xerox Update: Its official now http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Council-Okays-Outsourcing-to-Xerox–160438035.html
