Autopilot R/C boat

Interesting build where the author built an his own autopilot based boat.  Using homebuilt arduinos and GPS.  Pretty interesting build. http://hackaday.com/2015/06/01/simple-autonomy-with-an-rc-boat/

build an LED plank light

This has to be a pretty simple build to do, attached the LED stripe around a smaller board edge, then sandwich it with 2 bigger boards.  Looks cool. http://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Plank-Light/

Build a paracord knitting tool

Pretty simple build.  Not so sure why he used cotter pins (at a $1.5 each) over something like bolts or nails.   But good build if you plan to make long paracord strands. http://www.instructables.com/id/Paracord-4-Peg-Spool-Knitting/

Convert a bike frame into a scion light

Clever idea,  I think you could do this with any frame, and you could switch it around to have a light with shade on top, and run the wire through the frame to hide it. http://www.instructables.com/id/Bicycle-Frame-Lamp-1/

Share files with devices over Bluetooth

Surprisingly I have not done this myself.  I typically tether the phone to the PC to transfer files.  But this could be allot easier to do, if you have a bluetooth receiver on the computer. http://www.howtogeek.com/208365/how-to-use-bluetooth-file-transfer-between-os-x-and-android-5.0-devices/

Program your arduino with an Android device

Basically this is making use of one of two apps, ArduinoDroid or ArduinoCommander.  I was thinking this would be a good add if you have arduinos located in tough locations and use your phone to re-program them.  Instead of dragging … Continue reading
