Wow, so for $1 I could convert some old speakers to run off a USB power supply
I have a bunch of old 8ohm speakers that maybe seeing some new life soon. http://www.instructables.com/id/Gift-Card-Tin-USB-Speaker-3-Build/ here is another build using a 15w amplifier (so $3 instead of $1) http://www.instructables.com/id/Recycled-Old-Speaker/
Nice build for a battery backup
The author basically build a charging battery backup for about….$3. Heck alot cheaper than the $10 and up and it charges 18650 based batteries. http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-2-Battery-ChargerPower-Bank-for-18650-Battery/
Old piece of trim and a high powered LED to make a nice portable light
Nice build, the author tool a PC heatsink, some trim (I have lots of small pieces of leftover trim), a laptop battery to make a portable large light. Author uses it as a “light bomb”. I look at it as … Continue reading
Interesting, did not know nail polish could clean the writting off cans so well
Not so sure why the author pushes the bit about steralizing the cans, but the look nice once the writting is off. Oh to take the tops off use the P38 can openers. http://www.instructables.com/id/Ink-Removal-From-Soda-Cans/
So I like this Pumpkin build
I know its too late for haloween, but I like this build. The author basically is hitching up a propane tank to a flame on the pumpkin. Me…I wonder if I could do the same thing but with a grill … Continue reading
Cool brake to make to bend metal
I may actually stand a chance to make this one. Thought I would use JDWeld instead of real welding. http://www.instructables.com/id/Best-Vise-Brake-Press-Great-Angle-Any-Time-Choose-/
A portable hottub
This is a nice CNC based build. The author at the end says you could get away with 5/8s, maybe 1/2 inch plywood instead. I personally like the water heater he used that is propane based and only $100. I … Continue reading

Nice bike trailer build
I like the bit that it is collapsible for easy storage. I wonder if this could be adapted to a full trailer (so you get support of the metal frame). Save Space with a Collapsible Bike Trailer
Now just convert this to tennis balls
Nice idea, but…not so sure I would have a 10 foot length version. I wonder if it could be converted to be shorter and with tennis balls. http://makezine.com/projects/leaf-blower-wiffle-ball-launcher/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=%24%7Bfeed%7D&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+%24%7Bmakezineonline%7D+%28%24%7BMAKE%7D%29&utm_content=%24%7BGoogleReader%7D
Website to find “generic” stuff on the net
Interesting side called outsmart. It basically takes what you are looking for and shows you a similar product for less. Maybe worth trying this christmas http://twocents.lifehacker.com/outsmart-shows-you-cheaper-versions-of-all-the-expensiv-1788513820
