What to buy an educational wind turbine kit?

Go check out PicoTurbine.  They have some nice kits.  Why am I interested, I have been attempting to build a kit for kids in my spare time, and I have found tech has changed alot over the past 15 years.  Motors of today have junk magnets and not so many coils in them compared to the ones of the 80’s and 90’s.  If I had the cash, I would buy these.
