Interesting Checking accounts that pay (well for checking)

I have been thinking about checking accounts, and maybe switching again.  Two good articles below on alternatives out there.  First is on free checking accounts.  From this it sounds like CapitalOne 360 is a good choice.  The second, is on checking accounts that give you a nice sign-on bonus.  Most of these have alot of requirements I can’t do (like consistent 2G in the bank), but Discover Bank, with non monthly fee and non min and you get $50 to open an account, sounds interesting.
